I have been tracking Cambrian from afar and while I think their overall concept is fantastic, I too was a bit taken aback by the paltry financial sharing offer. There are other means to reward the crowd, and to offer such a tiny financial stake seems counterproductive. Anyone who would participate for the money would not be swayed by such a small and theoretical reward. Of course, I see the issue as you mentioned related to securities laws and how their hands are tied in certain ways.

It will be interesting to see exactly how Crowdspirit handles the same issue.

I love the Cambrian model and very much want them to succeed, but it seems they might want to stick with more of a Threadless style reward model (at least when it comes to financial incentives).
