I think green jobs will likely end up in the most practical sectors. Battery technology would certainly be one. Battery operated cars seem to be better option for than bio fuel cars.

Also, natural gas, without a doubt. The richest county per capita in the world (Qatar) nearly solely produces natural gas and they use it in Europe and Asia. I believe Nuclear and wind will not yield many jobs because they are less likely to succeed in the near future. Nuclear has too many political obstacles in the US to work in the short term and they don't seem to be able to get wind to generate enough energy. California has been subsidizing it for decades.

Hi Jay
Thanks for the update. One thing I have been doing is unplugging my TVs, Stereos, and other items around the house that are not in use and that has greatly saved me on my electric bill.

I also went to the show and was hoping to find more companies looking to hire people like myself but was very diappointed.Has anyone else besides me looked on http://www.cleantechrecruits.com/ , they seem to have the most jobs and all of the positions are truly in CleanTechnology. Some of the other sites have been diasspointing with jobs listings that include so many positons that are really outside of Clean Tech. I am looking for an Electrical Engineering role with a strong up an comer in WIND, Solar, etc. and so far I have only found the one site to be truly useful !

Dunton
